The Beatpack formed in order to play authentic 60s Garage Punk and tough Rhythm & Blues.

The band, with various line-ups has been around for nearly forty years now, albeit with a two-decade break in the middle.

First time around, they recorded a 7” EP in 1989 (produced by Billy Childish), followed by another 7” in ’90, then their debut LP in ‘91, all on German label Screaming Apple.

During that period they toured constantly around the UK and Germany developing a wild stage act...and then vanished in a puff of smoke, only to resurface in 2012.  Successful tours of France, Spain, Germany followed, along with prestigious shows in the UK.

Since their return, two more 7”s and one 7” EP were released through State Records, followed by a 7” EP with Heavy Soul Records, and thirty one years since their debut long player, the long-awaited second album 'All Good Things (Turn To Dust)’ was released on Spinout Nuggets in 2022, to much praise, followed two years later by the acclaimed follow-up album, ‘The Violet Hour’.

The group recently returned to record at Gizzard Analogue Studios.

The result is ‘The House Of Antiquities’; the third album in the trilogy after ‘All Good Things (Turn To Dust)’  and ‘The Violet Hour’. All these albums work individually, yet are loosely titled for the passing of time.

‘The House Of Antiquities’ could be an antiques shop, full of curious items, or maybe The Beatpack, it's members and these songs (curiosities).  It is a lovingly curated 60s garage album.

Limited to 500 copies on vinyl record (also on CD).
